Hey,
I've played GW before from a friend's key and it worked fine.
Now I purchased GW and when I play it it eliminates my computer so I have to reboot it.

Windows-vista 32-bits

I have a Nvidia 8600M

My cpu:

Help please?

I'm not sure what is wrong. (ofc i only understand half of the comp stats listed)
I had a problem when i first started playing GW on an older comp where it would just restart randomly. I got some ram for it and it worked fine. (Seriously though, i know little about computers)

Wild Guess: Black screen

Wild Guess for Reason: Gw/ GPU Conflict
Wild Guess for solution:
Change Videocard Drivers to olderones (maybe OMEGA Drivers),
underclock the card that it draws less power,
check the cooling of the card.

How can i check the heat of my card and can you tell me how to underclock? I have phoenix bios

"shuts down" is merely a description... does it state "system is shutting down" as if you chose it from start menu? or does it turn black and doesn´t respond until next boot?

My guess founds on the fact that GW tends to drain a lot of power out of some chipsets, far more then most regular powersupplys (especially from a notebook) can handle.
It`s just a guess, founded on experiences i made with my 9800gtx+

Heatcheck: IF your card supplys this feature the most easy way would be to get Gpu-z, it has monitoring tools inside.
To UNDERclock your card use the official NVIDIA Systemtools (i find them very easy to use), and read the manual, quite comprehensive i think.
Although consider the possibility of OMEGA Drivers or older Drivers (if they support your card), older drivers sometimes are opposing to most peoples oppinion a good way to resolve issues.

It just shuts down my comuter, power off, black screen like when it's off. I don't get any screens of it telling me it's shutting down, looks like it loses power and shuts down.
If i boot it it says your computer has shut down wrong, i just press enter etc and it starts normally.
Where do i get the NVIDIA Systeemtools? Could u also link me to the driver for my NVIDIA 8600M GS?

the temperature settings should be under sensors.

whether and if which driver runs for you is something you must test out, read the descriptions and test it

I downloaded the drivers but still shutting down.
Do I underclock the GPU? If so, how mutch should I underclock it to?
My GPU
Core-clock: 125Mhz
Memoryclock: 100Mhz
Shader-clock:250Mhz

Cooling:
Geforce GPU: 0%

Had similar problems when I upgraded to Vista 32.

Try this:

Right click your desktop shortcut and set the following settings in the Compatibility tab:

Run this program in compatibility mode for Windows XP
Run in 256 colours
Run in 640x480 screen resolution
Run this program as an administrator

(Don't worry about the 256 colours/640x480 res messing up how the game looks, as all the game will still run at the settings set within Guild Wars).

Do you have a shortcut to Guild Wars on your desktop?

If not you can either create one, or apply the settings directly to gw.exe.

My recommendation would be to create a shortcut on your desktop.

Once you have the shortcut, right click on it, select propeties, and then you should see the Compatibility tab at the top of the properties dialog box.

My heat went to 99% when I was playing so I shutted GW down and the heat went back down.
Can someone tell me what to change when I want to underclock?
Core-clock: 500Mhz
Memoryclock: 400Mhz
Shader-clock: 1000Mhz

I would never underclock the CPU. Your CPU is good enough to play at the default settings. If underclocking does work, it is due to slowing the chip down so it doesn't overheat.

This problem sounds like overheating or PSU not being powerful enough. I'm betting on the first one. Your chipmaker has an applet to read the temp of your chip. Same with the videocard, which also could be the thing that is running hot. I've always added a cooler to my videocard and that makes the whole system run cooler. I would suggest a Zalman cooler. It's easy to install and does the job. Maximum PC gives the latest one a "Kick-ass" designation.

i think the topic starter got a laptop so a new cooler is impossible.
grab your laptop and bring it back to the shop, this is not suppost to happen.
you can try to update all the drivers, maybe your GPU is not overheating but the drivers are corrupt.
if updating drivers wont work, go back to the shop where you got your laptop, get money back.
buy gaming pc or a new laptop.

Zwillem: First thing: STOP.
Do one step after another else it is impossible to make a good diagnosis.

So
FIRST: You now seem to know how to read the temperature. Am i right?
SECOND: Forget about underclocking for now, that might come later.
THIRD: Load the default clockrates and settings preset, then it will run factory default.
FOURTH: Run GW and watch the heat (normaly its °Celsius, not percent so get sure you are reading the temperature).
FIFTH: IF it overheats with default settings run ANY other 3dgame you posess and watch the temperature.

Post here wether it overheats on default settings, and if that happens on other games as well.

(and if there is a possibility to bring the lap back to shop i would do it, like riktw said)
