Downloadup/Conficker Worm....part 2

So, it has been growing but not doing anyhthing very unusual....besides spreading everywhere very fast. Security groups have been working together to prevent the worm, once on your computer, from downloading updates and instructions to itself. (check out Open DNS's effort in this...the "botnet protection service" is one of the results of the efforts to stop this worm and others) This new variant can bypass the current way researchers have found to shut off the worms updates, as well as makes improvements on the way it operates. Part 2 should be ieven more nteresting. |
