Default Trojan?

Since I got this Kaspersky 2009 program, im really aware of my computer security. So as I was scanning Kaspersky detected something interesting ='(

Does that mean it can hack my GW account(if its not already too late)?

did you by any chance get your guildwars client from somewhere besides the offical site or the game disk?

Is it a new install of GW, or has it been on there a while?

Using Kaspersky here and no problem whatsoever.

Did you use 3rd party apps like textmod?

What Fril said, texmod can sometimes contain trojans or other malicious stuff if it comes from an unsafe source.

First things first: Remove/quarintine the trojan, then change your password, then restart your computer and scan again to be extra safe.

If you have never used texmod it's likely that you stumbled upon some sort of unsafe website or got a bogus GW2 beta email and opened it. There are many possibilities, so cover all your bases.

It's probably just a false positive, I wouldn't think too much of it unless weird things start happening on your computer.

that looks kinda unsafe. i'd uninstall GW and then reinstall it and see if it's still there. change your password at another computer you know is safe. what is your security situation looking like anyways? everything up to do and scanned regularly?

If its just the client, quarantine and delete, since its so small and easy to replace. You can get a new client off your disks or the official website.
