I dont know why but i cannot start gw after fridays update even though i played before fridays update. I started up GW today in the morning, it showed it was updating and that it restarted because i have the shortcut feature that preloads all maps. Then it switched its look like i was installing gw for the first time saying connecting to areana net and then giving me a pop-up saying," Error. unable to create folder. Acess is denied. (5) ."

Iv never had such a problem like this before, i never give my personal info of gw to any site or go to any phishy site. Iv played gw now for 2 1/2 years. What could this be? Iv tried to see if my gw files have been deleted but they havent i still have my gw.dat and .tmp files.

I have a similar issue when I run GWx2 after an update. Once I copy the files (as required) then try to load it with my shortcut, it will not work. I have found that if I right click the shortcut and tell it to 'run as administrator' all will work fine from that point on. I never had this issue with windows xp but now that I have Vista it always happens. Not sure if it will help you but its easy to try.

i tried running it like you said right click and run as admin(i got vista) but it said make sure you have correct space, admin rights etc, iv tried it before. If i dont do your command like you said then i get this error message. I dont run two copies of gw at the same time. First time.

wierd enough, it started up only at 5pm, o well lcok this up pointless now
