I'm not facing any problems at all, but make sure gw.exe is in the exception list of the IMON of NOD32 (it worked for me like 3 months ago). So I don't think the problem is on anet's side but its lying in between.

It seems that all the firewall problems stem from people using NOD32

Im using AVG for antivirus and the windows firewall, ive made sure GW is on the exceptions and ive opened the ports it recommends.

If you're experiencing issues connecting or of you're lagging out, could you let me know what region you're connecting from? We've had reports from Europe about this recently, and our team's taking a look at those, but it would be useful to know whether this is happening outside of Europe, too.

Assuming its not a client side problem, either its our ISPs end or ANet have routing issues from their web servers to certain parts of the internet.

From the current reports we get, it looks like that there is an issue with one of the peering providers, so depending on how you are routed, you can either connect or not.

For your information and entertainment while we try get to the bottom of this:

Peering
Routing

Hope you find it informative, i used to do this for a living ^^
