Purchase a cleaner disk, it may help.

Make sure it's a Reader Drive instead of a Writer Drive too

Can try to install GW from the download-able client from here.

http://www.guildwars.com/download

It will take awhile downloading all of the game client(4GB) but can just play through the game and let it download each time going to new area, but is recommended to do -image to download all of it at once.

Downloading it costs $0 and you don't have to go to a store.

Before you do anything you will regret how about telling us about your new computer. We only know what you tell us. For all we know you could be using Windows 3.11. At this point, we don't know enough to actually offer any real help.
Disk? What disk? If you are refering to the orginal CD, Guild Wars will not run off the CD.

Yes but the Original game was installed off a CD, but like others have said, if you already have a GW account and have played before, i would just go download the client, and download the game, then login as normal.
