Default 2 technical problems

Hi

I just installed GW on a new computer. The game is running fine but I have two small problems I havent encountered before on any other machine:

1) The "space" command for attack doesnt work. I have checked in the options that this key is configured correctly. But when I have an enemy targeted and press space nothing happens. Also when I press Ctrl+space nothing happens and the target isnt called. This impacts my playing quite alot as I am used to calling targets for heroes/henchies.

2) When I try to save skill/equipment templates, when I try to type a name for the template, the input switches to Korean (I think, could be another asian language), so whatever I type becomes some unreadable characters for me. I can copy/paste latin characters from somewhere else, so I can work around this bug, but it would be nicer to get rid of it.

I am running Windows Vista Home, US english version. The computer has a US keyboard and the windows language/keyboard settings are US english. I dont have any problems with the keyboard in any other application. I downloaded the GW client directly from the GW website yesterday, after installing I ran GW -image. So far everything else in the game works fine. Ingame language is again English.

Has anyone seen these bugs before and/or know a solution?

Thanks

Has anyone seen either of these bugs before?

Sounds like you've got an Asian language IME (Input Method Editor) installed and the associated Windows hotkey bindings. Since Windows hotkey bindings take precedence over GW's bindings, whenever you press "ctrl+space" that's getting piped to the IME where it does something like "change character input mode" instead of getting piped to GW where you want it to be going. You need to get into your IME's options menu and change the hotkeys to something GW doesn't use.

This was indeed the problem. For whatever reason something added Chinese layout to the available keyboards, and somehow GW used it in these 2 particular cases.

Very weird...but I only needed to remove this keyboard and now things are fine.

Thanks a lot!
