Question General Guild Wars network stability woes

Greetings.

I've noticed a marked increase in game disconnections, lag and rubber banding the past few days, to the point where normal game-play is becoming impossible. I'm wonder if there is a routing bottleneck between my PC and ANET's servers, or if the problem lies elsewhere.

Is anyone from Europe experiencing such issues?

Thanks.

The servers have been pretty bad for the last year or so, when it came out in 2005 the servers were great never a disconnect or anything like that.

All 4 brits in the guild are having the same problems but our clog wearing counterparts are fine, sounds like some ole chap went and spilled Earl Grey on the internets.

Same here. The two Brits in my guild are having simultaneous disconnects and lag spikes even when we're doing completely different things. Our edam-munchers seem to be problem free also.

It might also be crumpet crumbs clogging the internets.

Still having problems, all British players lagging out at the same time, happening to everyone in the DSC groups.

No lag problems in GvG which is wierd, just pve.

Was in JQ 10 mins ago, was fine for the first few mins, then ping jumped to 22k, then 53k, completely unplayable, had issues while trying to VQ before in ferndale aswell, 80k Ping, this is shocking to say the least,

Im in the UK, and i cannot play in US districts at all now, if i enter them its an instant 40k ping, UK districts hold low ping for about 5 mins then jump way up to unplayable.

Anet must be seeing this on there end all this lag issues etc, question is, what and when are they doing to sort it.

I just upgraded my connection and the problem persists, I can play any other online game just fine with 25ms pings.

We didn't really get to halls, but other than that, concur! Bad servers are bad

I was casting within range of target but my character is shown moving forward then rubber-banded back to original location before showing end cast animation. Keeps happening halfway into a RA battle despite my average ping is 450ms which has stayed that way since April's update.

Reaching up to 50k ms today, can't even get away from simple aoes due to rubberband ><.

I'm in Australia, so I'm not even sure why I still get surprised by these.
