Default System Requirements

This may be in wrong place, but will Anet let us know way ahead of time what requirements will be for GW2. This will give some of us time to upgrade our present computers, or if needed, gulp, a whole new setup. Sry if this is in wrong place.

You might want to try www.guildwars2guru.com. As far as the specs they have not release anything yet. All they say regarding requirements is that any medium system will be able to run guildwars 2.

I had heard that if you are playing now you will be able to, but those graphics look a bit, well, flashy! I hope my system is up to it. And thanks, I'll check out GWG2.

A medium specced system will be much better than what a medium specced system is now. By the look of the graphics, im guessing most people will have to upgrade their videocard, and some will have to upgrade ram.

What's a "medium specced" system currently considered, if nobody minds my asking?

This is roughly what I would call a medium specced PC:
2Ghz processor
2Gb RAM
good 256, not so good 512 video card.

you should probably ask this in the gw 2 guru forum, the min would probably be like 2.5 single core, 2gigs of ram, and like an ok gfx card like 8800 or something.

It depends upon what you consider "way ahead of time", but I would say "no", not "way" ahead of time. You'll probably know the min specs when GW2 release date is officially announced. But, really, how much advanced notice would you need? You can find out one day and go upgrade (if needed) the next/same day - the only problem (for you) would be money.
If your computer is fairly new-ish and not some low ball crap with Intel integrated graphics, it will probably at least play GW2 at some level.
