idk if this section is only for gw's related problem so feel free to close this if it is...

so my problem is that on facebook whenever i get an instant message on the facebook messenger, my internet freezes up and i get a pop up saying that an application is trying to load the C library incorrectly.

does anyone have any idea how to fix this?

Firefox hates facebook messenger, mine always hangs when I get a message.

yea C++ library, and thx i didnt think to google it /doh! but after searching around a bit i still didnt find any way to fix it, just people having the problem. so any help would be appreciated, thx

and yea im using mozilla firefox

That makes no sense. The IM capabilities are within the browser - he can't delete it since there's nothing to delete. Deleting his account won't do anything either, since it's not anything related to his account.

Update Firefox. See what that does. I don't have any issues. I'm in Firefox 3.5 on OS X.

just updated firefox and still no luck, maybe i should just switch browsers. anyone else have any other ideas

actually i just fixed it, found the answer here http://support.mozilla.com/tiki-view...arentId=198326 all i had to do was uninstall VLC Media. thx for all the help anyway

So it's the VLC media plugin for Firefox. Good to know.
