Default Game redownloads areas already downloaded

Hi. I installed Guild Wars on a new computer, and I seem to run into a problem. The game redownloads files for areas I've already been to! I have only seen it happen in FA (844 files the first time, now about 390 files every time now), but I don't want to test it on other areas like GTOB which would take forever. Anybody else have this happen? And possible fix? Thanks.

PS: I already know about -image guys.

I'm not sure the reason why, but it happens to me to. It will go away, no worries.

Maybe there's people in the battle with new armor sets/weps that you haven't downloaded yet?

You said you already know about -image, so you did try that I hope, yes? If you did and it's not working try -repair. If nothing works I'd just reinstall at guildwars.com/download

... I was just thinking that somebody else had this problem and could provide me with a quick explanation. For now I believe that it just continues to download areas even if you choose to not visit them. I traveled back to GTOB and nothing was downloaded and then to Jade Quarry (Luxon) where only 209 were downloaded.

Seriously still not sure if you did... if you do it overnight and let image do the work I bet the problem will stop.

I know what I did and didn't do. This was the course: install GW, wait, login, character at GTOB, go to FA, play nothing else for a couple games, back to GTOB, then JQ for test to see how many download.

did you read? that is exactly the opposite of what happened.

Anyways, it's probably fixed, but I'm surprised nobody has encountered something similar. Also my allies list was acting funky.
