Default Heart of the Shiverpeaks hangup - gfx prob?

Please move this in case it belongs in the Game Bugs forum.

I didn't know this was a problem for me until recently. A while ago I was playing my Necro and crashed zoning from Heart of the Shiverpeaks dungeon lvl 2 to lvl 3. Didn't think anything of it, but never tried again. Started working my warrior through EotN and got to HotS, same thing happened. It doesn't just d/c, but it hangs up so that if I manage to minimize the game I'll hang up my whole computer. I read on the wiki that some ATI graphics cards have 'errors', but is this the problem with mine? I don't want eotn to be completely unplayable because of this stupid snag.

Stats via moo.dll on irc:

os: Microsoft Windows XP Professional - Service Pack 2 (5.1.2600)
cpu: Intel(R) Pentium(R) D CPU 2.80GHz (x86) at 2799MHz
gfx: NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT 512MB
res: 1440x900 32bit 60Hz
ram: 660/2047.4MB (32.51%) [|||-------]
hdd: C:\ 201.29GB/298.08GB
net: Realtek RTL8139 Family PCI Fast Ethernet NIC - Packet Scheduler Miniport - 100MB/s 7.81MB In 1.12MB Out

Your computer far exceeds the specs needed to play the game right.

Try a repair of the GW.DAT

OR delete and -image a new GW.DAT file.

I personally reccomend the latter of the two. Delete the DAT file and re download it (with -image) while you sleep.

It has nothing to do with your graphics card unless it's dying.
The only issue that graphics card has when it comes to GW is texture malfunctions (The textures for everything swap), which can simply be fixed by sliding the graphics down to minimum and back to maximum again.
I'm not sure if it's only that graphics card that has that issue, but my friend also has a computer with one and he gets the same issues. I'm to lazy to see if a "-repair" or "-image" fixes it as it's a rare occurance with an easy fix.

Thanks! It fixed the problem - I deleted the .dat file and did an -image. Now I can actually finish the game
