Default GW in a simple directory

Hi. I was wondering, Is it against the rules to move/copy GW into a much simpler directory..say one called "C:/GW" I just wanted it closer in the C drive for easier backups.

Thanks

Chris

It's your computer. You can place it wherever you like. I have mine on a flash drive so i can take the game around with me.

You can put it wherever you like.

As people have said, you can put it wherever you like. "c:\program files\" is just where windows likes to put stuff by default, but it's not required and it's not against anyone's rules not to put it there. Mine is in D:\program files\guild wars

You will find that Vista wants to put your templates and screenshots under "Documents" though, no matter where you install the game. (Not sure what happens if you have it on a flash drive or external USB drive with Vista)

Speaking of which - to those who run Win7 - does Win7 also move your templates etc.?

Same as Vista - C:\Users\yournamehere\Documents\Guild Wars

My GW is on F:\Games\GW for the record (and F:\Games\GW2 for the second account.)
