Used to be when I took damage I saw red numbers indicating how much and red text telling what skill, if any, was used. So it would show like "8 kindle arrows"

Now I'm seeing a graphic image for the skill used, like in the skill bar. When I take my stoneguard and she gets mobbed, all those danged little pictures are very distracting. How do I get text back?

And I've unchecked everything in the interface menu and still see them, so it's not in there.

Go into your settings menu and under the General tab (Default) check the box that says "Show text in skill floaters"

it should be the Damage monitor. i dont ever remember it being it text(sounds like WoW).

It was "show text in skill floater".

Thx - now I don't have those pretty pictures cluttering up the screen

I like those pretty pictures D:
It's also easier to realize what I'm getting hit with I'm kind of bad at field awareness :P
