Build something higher than those specs and you don't need to even bother asking if you can play at max with good FPS.

As for OP.. expect to be building a GW1 computer, but expect to be building a whole new rig for when GW2 comes out, this most likely will never handle it.

i don't doubt you can achieve that performance, but please note that you have a MUCH more powerful graphic card. people should at least learn the relative performance of their graphic cards before trying to compare them to something else. comparing a X1600 to a geforce 6150 is like comparing a motorcycle to a tricycle.

you can probably play on medium with 30+ fps. unfortunately i don't have access to such a computer right now, so i can't verify this.

if your computer is one of those slim mini towers, finding a PSU for it will be a problem. it won't take a standard ATX power supply.

well since your Monitor has an aspect ratio of 1600x900 (widescreen) the closest equivalent ratio would be something like 1366x768. At that ratio with medium details, no AA, - I would hazard a guess at 15-18 FPS.

yep - I had an 8600 gts (one half step better than a gt) and at 1440 x 900 I got 45-60 FPS, although EoTN and a couple spots in Nightfall would drop that a good 20%.

Except 8600gt would be quite a terrible gpu for its 50 buck price nowadays. I think 4670 or something costs pretty much the same and is much faster.

I got a 9800 GTX+ from Newegg for like $100. It will run GW maxxed out no problem. Just hang out and watch the online vendors. They allways have some pretty good sales around x-mas time.

I would hope the 4670 would be better, its nearly a year newer than the 8600.

An HD4670 is similar to a 8800 GTS 320mb or a 9600GSO - both of which are far better than the 8600 series.

The weak link in this setup is the graphics card. my old desktop have this ... and the gw experience is like 5 - 20 fps, depending on how many people are in town. Setting is all low.

But then again, i only have 512 mb ram at moment.

gw is not a taxing game... my friend was able to run the game smoothly with integrated intel x3100 on a laptop (settings low)

but take note that your monitor is 1900 x 800, which will need more gfx power.

currently my laptop is using the same resolution screen with nvidia 9300m gs, which allow the game to run at avg of 30fps. (mid to high settings).

Hence you need to get something above this line. eg. ati 46xx series and above // nvidia 86xx or 96xx and above

take note to take ur power box into account also...

lol sry. I don't keep up with nVidia cards like I do with ATI and thought the 6150 sounded like something new and much better than mine, apparently it isn't now but I now I know.
