Smile Frames get stuck

Sometimes while I'm playing, the game starts moving extremely slowly (like the "frames" in the game start changing very slowly), and sometimes my pc just gets stuck and I'm forced to unplug it to be able to restart it.

I already had a thread about this abuot a month ago, but got no answer from what I remember. I was told that the problem "might" be my video card:

NVIDIA GeForce4 MX 4000 (microsoft)
Memory: 120MB

If you need any more info let me know (also, I'll appreciate if you tell me how to find it, since I'm not very good with pcs ;D)

based on what you have listed for system specifications you have a very very old and outdated computer. It doesn't even meet the recommended requirements for Guild Wars I'm afraid that you need a need computer.

Sadly he's right, it seems your computer isn't even up to the minimum system reqs. let alone the recomended Specs.

What are the system requirements for Guild Wars?

Minimum System Specs:
Windows XP/2000/ME/98
Intel Pentium III 800 Mhz or equivalent
256 MB RAM
CD-ROM Drive
2 GB Available HDD Space
ATI Radeon 8500 or GeForce 3 or 4 MX Series Video Card with 32MB of VRAM
16-bit Sound Card
Internet connection
Keyboard and mouse

@Coolpb - But, the Geforce4 MX is on the list you just posted...

@OP - although your computer may meet the minimum specs, it just barely meets them. Almost anything could make it fail - not enough free RAM, dust and dirt, fans not working, component failure, malware, virus, etc., etc.
It's probably time for a major upgrade, if not a whole new computer.

I think anet needs to revise their minimum requirements. The GW dat almost surpasses 4 GB today and I'll be damned if you can get PLAYABLE frames on even a Radeon 9200 with 128 MB.

These specs for graphics might work today..yeah, if you run gw at 320x240 size window in windowed mode.

What components do I need to chance in order for GW to run better? and which do you recommend?

my pc has been running the game for more then 2 years now, this slow frame problem has happaned in the past, but it almost never made my computer get stuck.

Thanks
