Default Are there any good PCI video cards for guild wars?

I want to get a better video card for my computer because currently I have the Intel graphics card that came with the computer, which is not very good.A re there any good PCI cards that can run Guild Wars on decent settings? Or should I just buy a new computer?

you won't be gaining much performance by upgrading your current computer with an PCI graphic card.

if you have the money available, you might want to buy a new computer entirely.

with that said, this is probably the best PCI card you can find:

That 2400 will run GW well enough, but as Moriz said, if you have the available cash I'd get a new pc... since PCI is outdated technology at this point. If you want to play newer games or ones in the future, that will be underpowered - if GW is the most intensive game that you anticipate playing in the near future, than it wouldn't be a bad buy (the 2400).

Thanks for the replies guys. I guess I'll just save up and buy a new computer, because I want to be able to play GW2 when it comes out, and I'm assuming that the system requirements are going to be higher. Thanks for the help!

Buddy. By the sounds of it you are using the integrated graphics chip in your computer. If so a standalone card will give you a huge boost in performance. Don't by a new pc before you try it.

My friend upgraded his old pci with a Sapphire 3850. Everything got sweet for him and his pc is nothing to write home about.

Worst case scenario if you get a decent card and you're not happy still, yu can get your new pc down the track and have a card to put in it. Just do a little research on cards and performance and value before you commit. Toms Hardware has a great monthly article about best video cards for the money. Well worth a read.
