Default Logitech G15 Vs. Razer Tarantula.

i currently got a Logitech G15 and im thinking of getting a razer tarantula.

heres my thoughts.
G15.
+LCD Screen
+6 macro keys
+gaming controls.
+Key lights.
-its a bit big.
-uncomfortable without the thing to put ur arms at.

now , since i dont have a Tarantula keyboard, and i dont want to make up my mind from pictures and facts, but perhaps someone here got a Tarantula.
What are your thoughts? whats good and bad with the razer Tarantula?

dun have a tarantula...but a reviewers opinion should be better than mine:

im a big fan of razer and would prolly be biased anyways
but the reason i want a razer keyboard (i dun have one cuz they're hella expensive) is because of the ghosting and "lagless" input

ghosting meaning u can press multiple keys simultaneously and they'll all go through
most keyboards can only press 4 or 5 simultaneously (only a prob wit some games)

the 1ms response time means the keys respond faster (generally unoticeable but meh)
g15 prolly does have this too, but couldnt find it on their website

im pretty sure the feel of the keyboard wont be terribly different from ur current g15

if u want a nice feeling keyboard (imo)

I have had my G15 since they were first released. I love it. I have worn off the finish on large portions of it, it has been thru cross country moves, dropped, shaken, and put thru everything that my 4 year old son could do to it and it still works flawlessly. I would highly recommend the G15.

Can't say anything about the Tarantula since i have a perfect keyboard and no need to replace it.

If you must have the ULTIMATE keyboard, then neither one of the ones you have listed are what you are looking for.
Have a look here: http://www.thinkgeek.com/computing/input/9836/

That is the best keyboard you can get. Each key is actually a small screen that can display pretty much whatever you want it to. Skill icons instead of numbers? Yep it can do that. custom graphics on each key? yep.
Of course the cost is out of this world for a keyboard, but damn wouldn't it bee cool to have that thing?

i've seen that before
it looks pretty cool
but im not convinced the performance would be better than that of a gaming keyboard (for gaming that is)

but i agree that the g15 is a solid keyboard
and im wonderin exactly why the op wants to purchase a newer keyboard to replace it?

If you google Logitech G15 Vs. Razer Tarantula you will find tons of reviews and opinions about them. I think either one will make you happy but definetely worth the research since keyboard is very important if you are at the computer for long periods of time.

I used to have a keyboard which all lit up in blue, very pretty, but when it came down to comfort, not good for hours of typing. So research which is gonna meet YOUR specific needs.

I also am not convinced about its performance as a "gaming" keyboard and to be totally honest about it, I doubt I could bring myself to actually use it at all after paying that much for it!
Just thought I would throw it in the post incase others may not have seen it before.

Im loving my G15 with LCD Screen and 3x18 extra keys to program (well thats the oldG15)

and if you want a real gaming keyboard try this : http://www.steelseries.com/de/produc.../informationen its expensive (170USD) but worth it

Or.... ya know... you could get the most amazing keyboard EVER?

Say hello to my little friend, the Logitech G19. If you have the cash, it is second to none.

Any improvements over the g15? if there are, i cant see anything different then the looks.

Ooooo.. nevermind. Watching some videos on Youtube shows that it now has a REAL LCD on it, its much bigger and it displays colors and everything a real LCD can and its multi color display on the keys now

the G19 looks awesome! not cheap though. might be getting that instead.
possibly its a bit overkill. the LCD screen Has its own OS, and its possible to view pictures and stream youtube. it also needs 2 connections to work. USB and AC Adapter.

Forget youtube and such, the video displays game maps and such on the LCD. If only it could get more game support compared to the G15 it would be so awesome!.

Imagine for Guildwars a 3d virtual lineup of minipets you could cycle through and activate! Thats only one example.

I know it wont happen, but I mean look there are already some very cool g15 mods made for guildwars that have created without any of anet's help.
