read what i wrote.
do you have factions? go to the centre of kaineng in fullscreen... it should go boom.
if that happens you have a "testing area".
underclock the card. have fun.
or downgrade drivers. the larger the gap between cardproduction and driverdate -> the worse.

statisticaly you could say stability follows a graph like a gaussian bell: first unstable, two to four months later perfect, then crap.

cosy - you have one of those little shuttle cases with the handle on top right?

Anyways - I hate to ask an obvious question, but have you done a System Restore? A good virus scan, with a registry editor, and a fresh install of GW might help too. (assuming you already have tried various drivers etc...

Something else to try, since your case is (if i understand it correctly) tiny, your card could be overheating... GW does not like heat, more so than any other game I've played in fact. Can you run a program to give us the internal temps of the components in your PC? For that I suggest Everest Ultimate, best free program I've run across.....

update.
Ghost, yes I have factions, I went to Kaineng and it would take about 10 minutes for it to crash there, so yes thanks I have been using it as a crash area (in 800x600 it took only 5 minutes to crash).
We spent lots of time tweaking the drivers, updating, downgrading, went to omega drivers (those were probably the best one we tested, but still the crashes occurred after the 10 minute mark).
Elder, no I dont have a shuttle---that ones dem are 8x8x12 (like a mailbox), mine is 12x12x4 or so....more like stacking 2 average sized laptops on top of each other. No heat is not an issue, dust is (and I have a full new set of cans of air next to the rig).

Heat tests came back pretty good----the highest the card got while on a full run with tons of stuff running in the background (for testing purposes) was 61C. The cpu only got to about 50C

well so the update, after talking to lots of experts (and surfing) we decided to just give up on the ati card altogether and went to a nvidia 8400gs---got it last night and even though it runs pretty hot (72C was the max) it made it past the crash stage of Kaineng (and then another 20minutes) with no crashes, played for another 2 hours with lots of stuff going on in the background and still no crashes----so the consensus right now is that my rig and the ati were not completely compatible, however; I still plan to do more testing to make sure that we finally solved this (and didnt just exchange one set of problems for another)....so I might update this thread again.

But for now, thanks everyone for your help, suggestions and just being there when I needed someone!
