Unhappy Computer Runs - No Display =(

Hey,

I was hoping you guys can help me with an issue I'm having right now with my PC. About two days ago, I restarted my computer only to find out that upon reboot, my monitor stayed black - showing no picture.

What's weird is that my PC was having no problems at all literally 2 minutes before. The PC is very new, all the parts are not even close to a year old. Therefore, I'm at a loss on what the heck is causing the problem.

I would appreciate any suggestions on how to fix this issue, or any ideas on what's causing it. Thank you guys in advance.

Things to check
  • Cable from PC to monitor - check connection/try a different one
  • Monitor - is it switched on?
  • Beep at startup - just one?

Oh yea, I forgot to mention, the monitor is definitely ON as the light next to the on/off button keeps flashing, and for a split second after I turn on my PC there is a box that says "NO SIGNAL," before going back to pitch blackness.

I also did try another monitor with a different cable - same issue unfortunately.

Um, I didn't notice a beep on startup - but then again I don't know if it's normal or not as I'm not sure if my PC normally beeps or not.

But one thing I did notice that was odd is that when I press the little button to turn on my PC, all the lights come on, the fans spin, but everything goes OFF for like 2 secs right after the initial "wakeup", lights off, fan off, silent... then it resumes.

Thanks you for such a quick reply.

You will need to open your case and verify that the cables to the GPU are not loose, also if you have multiple memory DIMMs try them individually, one at a time and see if it boots that way.
