Default Slow Loading when Zoneing with my new Asus EAH4879

HI everyone,

Not sure if this is the right are...

Ok I'm running a Dx2 66 system 2 gig ram, Asus P5N32e motherboard.

More than enought for GW

current gfx card 7600gt - load time when zoneing <10 secs

New gfx card Asus EAH4870 - load time when zoneing >50 secs

might not sound like much but has been so annoying that I have taken the new card out and put the 7600gt back in.

Any ideas?

my MB is a SLI based MB and te new card is crossfire. was told that this would not be a problem as I do not run multiple gfx cards.

Thanks

Is it only during zoning?

What PSU do you have? Is it feeding the HD 4870 with enough power?

And did you remove your old drivers when you installed your new card?

Try other games too.

your GPU should not have an effect on load times - that is related to your ISP, Firewall, distance from server, and most importantly your gw.dat file size (ie is it up to date) and your HDD spindle speed.
