Default Best PCI Express Graphics Card for 80-100 bucks?

I'm not looking for the best card to play insane games, I'm just looking for a small update to keep me happy for a while. I'm also trying to look for something that doesn't go over 400w, since I'm buying the PSU too.

best at that range? probably a radeon HD4770. unfortunately, AMD is having problems meeting demands, so they might be very hard to find.

The best for that range would actually be more like the Radeon 4850, currently at $99(as of this post), instead of the 4770. The low stock + seemingly high demand of the 4770 has made most 4770s cost around $115-120 IF a shop actually has one in stock. Which is a bad price considering the 4850 has become cheaper and is faster.

Faster by about 5fps, with added heat and louder fan noise, added watt consumption too. True for the price you are getting better performance abit with the things above, at least for US cash you could probably pick 4870's for around 130$ on sale. Like I've said before if you can wait till this fall, prices on all midranged/high end cards will drop. It's not like there are any titles coming out this summer to warrent the purchase of a new vid card. The few games I'm only interested in thus far for fall are Aion and Battle Field Bad Company 2, if you aren't in a rush dont bother upgrading.

If you can find a 4770 in your price range then snap it up - its way more bang for your buck.

ATI's 5870's release in a month or two, and that will cause the pricing of all 48XX line cards to plumet, so you might as well wait and save a few bucks.
