Will be interesting to see what Nvidia come back with,

Most things dont even run DX10 yet, and there launching a DX11 card, should be interesting to see what comes of all this. Now if AMD could only release a decent CPU they'd be laughing.

What is even going to use that much graphics power? I have a 4870x2 powering my 30" Dell @ 2560x1600, and it's overkill, nothing comes close to taxing it, even with every setting in the ATI control panel maxxed. Maybe I'm just not playing the right games.

GW2 probably won't even have uber-quality settings to be able to take advantage of it.

There is nothing on EArth currently that can run Crysis on ultra high still. lol

I buy every 2nd generation. I bought X1950, then 3870, and now 5870. I skipped the 2's and 4's. Hell my single 3870 still does pretty good in newer games.

Lol, for around 45 frame average. Mind you, better stuff mod will make Crysis looks much better, add 16x force edge AA, 16 AF and custom config close to photo realisme. No Ati can handle such system.

Yeah you can run crysis on ultra high quite easily on most modern computers. Its only when you put on AA that your fps drops to 0.

I was happy with my 4850 until a couple months ago when I slapped a second 4850 in there.... that wil keep me going just fine for another year or two most likely. That's the beauty of usually being 2 years behind on the "must play some day" video game list.... my hardware upgrades are cheap. lol

Just thinking of all that power and the extra ~3fps makes people want to buy the latest and greatest in components!

Me too come to think of it lol
