sounds like it's over heating - GW is more heat sensitive than many games out there - check the temps as wrath of dragons said.....

I had the same problem with a 8600m gt nvidia card. I read up online that the 8 series nvidia cards are having major overheating issues leading to fried graphics cards a lot faster then normal. Apple is even refunding people who bought the macbook pro with the 8 series nvidia cards. I replaced mine with a Radeon and have been having no trouble.

Does this problem happen with other games?

It's actually the Processor temps that are more in a "danger zone" than the video card... although laptop processors are designed to withstand more heat than their desktop brethren...

Are the temps that you posted from a gaming session or when idle? If those are the temps while playing GW or another "modern" 3d game then they aren't too bad, but if those are idle temps we may have a problem.

Maybe take the back off your laptop, make sure there is no giant dustbunnies in there.

Also, go into your bios and see if there is an option to controll fan speed on your processor. Im not sure if laptops have that, but if so turn it up a little. What processor do you have? I googled around and came across this list:
http://www.pantherproducts.co.uk/Art...eratures.shtml

What temp is your processor and gpu at idle?

Also, you can try this:
Go into power properties (right click on your plug/battery icon -> properties) and set it to portable mode (or whatever the similar profile is)
This should underclock the processor a bit. Then run the game, watch temps, and see if it still happens.

A laptop/notebook cooling pad is a wonderful investment - nobody should game on a lapto p without one. If you don't have one (go get one!) always place the laptop on a hard surface and but a book or something under the back edge.... just improving the airflow will help it out quite allot.
