Default LF XP with Logitech diNovo and GW

As title (at least somewhat) states, I would like to hear from people, who have any experience playing Guild Wars on a Logitech diNovo keyboard like this or something similar.

What I'm interested in, is to know, if those all flat laptop-like keys are any disadvantage over normal high keyboard keys. I imagine, that the keys being flat makes it easier and less noisy to write, but maybe also makes it harder to 'feel' the keys and navigate the board in games like Guild Wars.

Here's to hoping for an answer.

Um, I wouldn't have clue what you wanted from the title, until I read the post.

I don't have any "XP" with that keyboard ("exp" would be a better), but I have used flat-top keyboards on laptops to play games. I find the keyboard much easier to use on the desktop - I hadn't thought about it, but your post makes me think it's at least partially because of the shape of the keys. The sculpting of the desktop keys helps keep your fingers positioned and keeps them from sliding off the keys to hit nearby ones. I usually play on a desktop though - it may be just a matter of getting used to flat-tops.

Btw, the noise level depends a bit upon the particular keyboard and the quality of the laptops. My cheapy Dell laptop is much noisier than our macBook Pro (or a better Dell, for that matter.) It's the lack of cushioning on the keys - it's just plastic hitting plastic - just like on this desktop I'm using.
I would think, given the price, that the diNovo would be quiet.

Hi Quaker,

Thnx for your answers and your opinion. I'll use it for further consideration. Maybe even brush a little bit up on the titles of my posts

Happy GW,
R.
