Default Should I update my Video Card

I'm currently running an ATI Radeon HD 3850 (PCIe and AGP), yes I have 2 PC's.

Dell GX270 has the AGP card
Dell GX620 has the PCIe card

I play with the HD 3850agp the most and all seems to run very smoothly.

It is worth updating to an HD 4850 or HD 4870 (pcie)? Or would I just be wasting money and video card?

Thanks

No one can say if it's worth it or not, except you. But basically, if things are working well now, upgrading the card(s) won't make much of a difference. However, if you plan on getting some newer games or plan on getting a bigger monitor, you may need the extra performance.

Note that upgrading your video card might also involve getting a larger power supply - check the manufacturers recommendations.

Personally, I wouldn't spend money upgrading the AGP one anyway.

agreed.

Since PCIe is the standard which most modern GPU are using, upgrade your Dell GX620.

I couldn't really "upgrade" the AGP card anyway, since the HD 3850 is the best agp card you can get.

I've upgraded my GX620 with an Antec earthwatts EA500 500W.... I have some other games such as Dragon Age and they recommend an HD 3850 pcie or better... I currently have my eyes on an HD 4870... heck a 4850 or 4770 would be nice also.
