Default Strange Graphics?

So this is what I am dealing with. See those mountains? Why are they green? Plus during regular game play, the greenish color scrolls from bottom to top of my screen, and only gets worse the more I move. Lol

http://img232.imageshack.us/i/2011010813471346.jpg/

I've been trying to trouble shoot the problem for the last day or 2, and the strange thing is that it does only show up in fullscreen mode (1920x1080), and not in windowed mode.

I've tried everything to get it to go away, as far as doing a full clean install of windows, and it didn't quite help (but did help get rid of some crap I don't use anymore.)

I've tried the newest drivers, beta drivers, re-seating the gpu's, turning off the OC's, running with the OC on, same with the CPU oc, running through all the setting in my nvidia control panel and have found no solution yet to this annoyance.

Any ideas?

Specs:

i7 920
2xGTX260s
6g of gskill 1600 ram according to the label on the sticks.
Vista Ultimate 64 bit
55" Led Monitor
(....anything else yall would need??)

Temps?

Have you tried with a single GPU?

Have you tried a different Monitor?

Does this happen with any other games?

idle I'm sitting 47c on gpu1 and 44c gpu2, usually in the mid to upper 50's during load.

Yeah I've tried with a single gpu, didn't fix the problem.

It still happens on my 25" montior, so I know it isn't the monitor.

Lastly nope, it does't affect SC2, Fable, Diablo II, etc. It is only GW that is getting that strange graphic issue.

That's odd - it's like a synching problem.

The image you supplied is taken with a camera. Does the problem show up when you take a screen shot?

It doesn't show up with taking a screenshot, but you can see it with your naked eye. It is kinda weird, I can deal with it when I'm standing still doing nothing, but when your moving around and just in general playing it is so bad I just want to stop playing. And I still think that it is weird that it only does it when running in Fullscreen and not in window'd.

When you reinstalled Windows did you completely delete your GW folder and then download the client from the website with "-image" ?

Yes, I re-formatted the drive, and downloaded the client from guildwars.com, and then did the -image to download all the files.

That tells us that GW is rendering the game properly but the image isn't displaying properly.
  • GPU overheat (not a usual symptom)
  • Monitor failing
  • Dodgy cable/connector
Having said that, it's odd that it only affects GW. Not that this is the first time we've had graphical wierdness that only affects GW...

I'd suggest swapping cables and if that doesn't work, swap GPUs, try the onboard if you have it or borrow another video card from a friend for a day.
