Open up your computer (power off), locate the RAM sticks, and wiggle them in their sockets. Blow the dust out while you're at it.

If that doesn't help, check the RAM settings in the BIOS - set them to "auto" - and/or run a Memtest.

Could this mean that the Page File is nonexistent or insufficient?

Makosi - don't think so, unless some nasty malware screwed it up. If the problem persists after you blow the dust off and reset the RAM sticks, while Memtest shows nothing, try some easy anti-malware treatment, just in case.

Can you get the memory usage in task manger? Sounds like something is using a lot of memory.

yeah.. I get this when I have firefox and chrome both open (and stupid flash crp running on them)...so close everything else (check out task manager to see if either of those is using up your memory).

(gotta add: what I do about memory--forget it! sorry )....

I haven't seen an out of memory error since the days of DOS-based Windows and 128MB standard RAM.

If a RAM stick had failed or become unseated, surely it would have thrown up a BSOD?

System specs would help - how much installed RAM do you have?

(I'm going to have a stab at there being no actual physical memory problem, just a random .exe crash that's thrown up an OOM error for other reasons.)

How long were you playing Guild Wars? What OS? Is this a memory issue? I doubt it. It is not uncommon for a 32bit OS to run out of memory space for a specific application.
