Acer F690GVM Mother Board (I raided an Acer M1100 and made it a bit better)
4G (2x2) OCZ Blade Series DDR2 800 @ 5-5-5-15-24-2T
Visiontek HD 3870 OC 512
Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit
I finally did what I needed to do...I swapped out my BE-2350 for an X2 5800+ @ 2.8GHz. I would OC it if I could, but as my MOBO doesn't support OCing I can't. The end result, from 50~125 FPS in GW up to 100~200 (that's right 200) FPS. Now if I can tweak out my latency from 150-250 down to a much more reasonable level I'll be very very happy.

Currently:

e6600 @ 3.6
680i SLI
4gb DDR2 800
8800GTX (latest release driver)
24'' Dell/19'' Viewsonic

It gets me by, or it has for the past few years.
It's been a good machine.
But it's time to upgrade before GW2 hits Cant wait.

Probably going to go with something along the lines of this:

X6 1090t
AsRock Deluxe3
8gb DDR3 1600
Either a 5870 1gb or a 480
80gb SSD/1tb HD
Haf 922 with Corsair 850wt psu

I'm the only crazy upgrade nut here it seems

64 Gb Crucial C300 SSD for my boot drive, 2 Tb Seagate LP for a backup drive, and then I put my Samsung F3s into Raid 0. I wont have the SSD working until tomorrow though, I need a Molex > Sata cable for it.

Its red not pink, my camera is a fail. They match the Motherboard really well, the only clash is the CPU cooler + ram modules, but I havnt yet seen a better performing cooler, and the ram was cheap (for ram) at £72 per 4 Gb, wheras matching red + black sticks are far too expensive with no performance difference.

A Prolimatech black megahalem cooler would look unbelievably good on this setup, but my temps are as good as the Corsair H70, so I'm not changing it.

I have my CPU at 4.2 Ghz with HT on, ram at 1600 Mhz with 6-8-6-20, T1 timings, and the GTX 460s at 875 / 4250 clocks (nowhere near as high as the ATI cards clock, but they still perform awesome and the SLI scaling is just unbelievable compared to the ATI cards - HD 5970 power for £350).

Thats a pretty nice looking setup. That big ass CPU sync looks awesome. I have an old Dell sitting around with a huge heatsync like that, hahah.

Do you use that SSD for gaming? If so how well does it perform?

EDIT: Added a couple pics. The reason my PC is backwards is so that monster of a graphics card doesn't suffocate against the wall and with wires.

No I'll be using the SSD as my boot drive for super fast windows. Im still waiting on a molex > sata cable that should be here soon hopefully. For now I went and unplugged my CD drive that was using one and used it on the SSD drive, but now I cant get into windows setup to format the two new drives and reinstall windows onto the SSD until I get a second. 64 Gb might be able to hold a few games on top of the OS, but I doubt it. The 64 Gb was £113, then the 128 Gb was £258 :x. I only wanted the Crucial one because its Sata 3 with the highest read speeds. I'll wait for prices to come down and then buy a second for games.

I'll use my pair of samsung F3s in Raid 0 for games, the 2 Tb drive was reduced to £81 and both my F3s were getting too full, so I thought I'd get it for backups and storage and then I could raid my current ones for games.

Samsung 1Tb F3 drives are down to £44 each, and the 2 Tb segate LP drive is down to £81. With two of the 1 Tbs, and one 2 Tb, anyone can easily setup a Raid 0 spec with the samsung drives.

I'd never use Raid 0 without the backup drive though - two drives in Raid 0 = twice the chance of data loss, as either drive dying wipes all of the data.

Yeap. And I have a nice lap board for mouse and keyboard that fits the recliner great. I need a bluetooth keyboard though because the little Logitech USB antenna has to be stretched out into the middle of the room which is lame.

I'll take some. My hybrid drives just shipped out from Tiger Direct and wont be here for a week (I'm on a US military base in Japan), but I can take pics with the Barracuda in there.

RAM: 3 GB PC6400 DDR2
GPU: ATI RADEON 3100
HDD: 250 GB
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit

Desktop (bought in early 2005):

CPU: AMD Athlon 64 3200+ 2.0 GHz
RAM: 2.5 GB PC3200 DDR
GPU: EVGA GeForce 7600 GT KO PCI-E

I'm going to attempt to run Guild Wars 2 on both my laptop and desktop, if that doesn't work it'll be new PC time. I'll probably stick to a $600 budget.
