On a Diamondback, I have gotten the left side mouse keys to work (the right two scroll, so they can't be assigned to anything). Unfortunately I don't know about a Deathadder, but I'm assuming there should be some way to make it work if a Diamondback has this capability.

Works fine on the copperhead for me. Maybe check the razer support forums or something?

Works on my g5, try assigning the extra buttons to global purposes, not just to when gw.exe is running or however your mouse assigns it to specific applications.

The buttons are assigned to shift and ctrl in the razer software, these setting worked fine before with my old mouse in guildwars. However it would seem there is a problem either with the mew razer driver for this mouse or the mouse itself as four of the six games i have tried just plain ignore the buttons. I'll let you know what comes back from razer support as I'm sure a lot of people who might be thinking about buying this mouse will be interested.

Just out of curiosity, why on earth are you looking to map those thumb buttons? Its not like we are playing an FPS here...

On a hi-jack note, two of my Copperhead mice broke down within a year of usage. The 2nd one is disconnecting every now. Even my $10 USB mouse from Microsoft is still working after 3 F*en years.

Yeah, email Razor and they want a receipt. I told them it's in the trash, just like your mice will be along w/ my bad mouthing and blacklisting of your products for life.

This might be a dumb suggestion, but have you tried assigning the buttons within gw itself? Unless you have a specific profile for guild wars possible within the razer software, i don't see the global settings doing much as they are assigned to specific functions that games tend to ignore. Logitech has great software for this as i can set up game profiles where certain keys perform certain actions (like making the mouse button shift or w/e) and when the game is loaded the software uses that game's configuration. Works great with keyboards as well (G11)....but not to troll with Logitech.....

For example, with my Logitech G5, outside of games, the logitech software reads the side button as back (yeah i have the ancient G5 with only 1 side button that I need to upgrade) so if i'm in a web page or something or the windows explorer, it'll function as though the back button is clicked on to return to a previous page.

In guild wars itself, I have set the button to Cycle equipment so that when hit, it goes to the next weapon/offhand combo through the controls (F11>Controls).

So try setting the controls within guild wars itself if you haven't already.

EDIT: also found this to support my claim: <a href="http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/razer-deathadder-and-keybinds-t10313227.html">Razer Deathadder and Keybinds</a>

Had no trouble with my Lachesis assigning mouse buttons 1-5 and only had to reassign the right shoulder buttons in the razer config so they werent a mirror of the left side....

TLDR no problems here.

Thanks, I didn't see that one when I searched.

After reseting the Razer customizer, GW does recognize the thumb buttons as button 4 & 5. And I can assign them. It however doesn't seem to work in tandom with the space bar for call targeting which is what I really use the thumb buttons for.

And I don't see a "Call Target" keybind in the GW interface menu. So if anyone know how to assign a keybind in GW in place of the "CTRL-SPACEBAR" action. Let me know.

And thanks again for the help.

for whatever reasons, simple keybinds done in razer's driver interface won't work in GW. you'll have to bind them as macros instead. keep in mind that macros only execute on release, not on press.

however for single key presses, you can assign them in GW's options menu.

That did it. I created a macro in razer for "LCTR-SPACEBAR" and now I can call target by just hitting the one button.

Thanks! I'm so stupid sometimes..
