Default Flashing loading screen in Windows 7

Hey all!

This isn't really a big problem at all, but it's weird since I didn't have it before, and I'm just curious as to why it happens.

Everytime I load an area in GW, the loading screen will flash (as in, the picture will disappear) for a second, just before the loading is finished. It started doing that ever since I upgraded to Windows 7.

My build is:

Core 2 Duo E8500 @ 3.8 Ghz
GTX 295 with GTX275 clocking speeds (set to use just one card in GW, making it basically a GTX275)
4GB DDR2-800 RAM
Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit

Any ideas? I don't think it's got anything to do with GPU, because it will do that in any other configuration (SLI @ stock, single GPU @ stock, SLI @ 275 speeds)... I'm guessing it's the OS.

Thanks

If memory serves me right then it will start nagging you if you have UAC active but End-s solution should work but still that flashing happens on xp also just alot faster

you could try different GPU drivers - I had the same thing with various video cards and drivers in the past in some games - it may fix it with an updated/later driver.

I solved this problem by choosing Vista Service Pack 2 compatibility.
