Default How doi get a desktop icon for GW?

I purchased GW Trilogy and I want a desktop icon I can just click to run GW. When I go to Start > All Programs > Guild Wars, there is somethin along the lines of GW support and something else but no option to run GW. I have to ejec the disc an insert it back in each time i play. So how do I make a shortcut on my desktop?

Thank You!

If you find the GW folder in C:\Program Files, there should be an exe.

If you're on Vista or 7, you just need to go to the Games folder (Start -> Games.)

If it's XP (or, god forbid, earlier) browse to where you installed Guild Wars, usually C:\Program Files\Guild Wars\, right-click and hold on the gw.exe icon, drag it to the desktop, release the right mouse button and select "create shortcut". That's if I remember how XP did it - it's been a while

If it's XP right-click an empty section of the desktop, go to New->Shortcut. Then enter the path of where Gw.exe is.

You could just go to "C:\Program Files\Guild Wars\GW.exe". Right-click it, then you can select "create shortcut". Go to your desktop, then select paste.

The file path might be "C:\Program Files (x86)\Guild Wars\GW.exe" if you have a 64-bit operating system. This method works across all Windows platforms that you would be running Guild Wars on.

This should do exactly what you want with minimal confusion. Hope this helps.
