Thumbs down NCSoft Support *sigh*

*Best* 2010 presents for me from GW: banned all 4 of my GW accounts at 01 Jan!

Event:
While I was doing ZB ("Fenrir" on that day...) and just logged my 2 accounts (1 perma and 1 leecher...) to port to gunnar's hold, I then want to check something at gwwiki so I tab back to firefox. After I've done the checking, I went back to the clients and both of clients got booted to the login screen.
I then just log in and the pop-up said:

"We have detected that your account may have been accessed by an unauthorized individual. For your security, further access to the account has been blocked until this matter can be resolved. To restore access to this account, please contact Support and one of our representatives will assist you."

Huh, for my security!? Okay, You guys are so considerate and now I have to find someone to help me solve the things out. I clicked the link right at the bottom of the login box which just linked me to GW official website. Hmmm... email is an option I picked 1st. Coz I have 4 accounts (and actually 5, the fifth one was my friend's abandoned account ), I used all 4 accounts' addresses to email the support. Guess what? The bot-seemed replies told me to create an "Ask Question" account on NCSoft support! Okie Dokie... I will do whatever that can let me play GW again. I created all 4 "Ask Question" accounts and whine about the all-of-a-sudden warmhearted suspensions. Not all 4 accounts got reply this time, only 1 of them had it and the reply is:

"I am escalating your ticket to our Guild Wars senior staff members to assist you further. Once they have reviewed your question, one of them will contact you as soon as possible."

Wow, I have to wait some more time... Ahh.. forgot to say, this reply was received 20 hrs after my "Question" thread posted. Okay, I tried to help them/me to solve the thing then I replied them with some info which they might found useful (like I will logged some of the accounts at the same time at the same computer blah blah blah).

Now, the 4th day of 2010 (at my time zone), I still can't play my beloved GW . My 4-year efforts, my 4-year love, seem to end at the new start of a decade...

As I told the support guy in my mail: I'm the victim died by your kindness!

Thanks all who listen to my whine...

P.S. I'm not the native english speaker so my wording may seemed awkward , and 2 of my accounts were once taiwan based as there were "districted" by countries bases.

It's pretty funny how they try and protect your account when they see it being accessed by it's owner the way they do..they think someone else is accessing it, yet fail to see that all 4 accounts were probably running on the same IP address, not multiple ones. Sigh NCsoft..just..sigh.

Honestly I don't play GW much anymore, but I'm still dreading the day something goes wrong with my account, because right next to hackers, NCSoft Support is the thing I fear the most. From what I've seen and the little I did myself, they're so bad that I sometimes get the feeling it's just better to drop the account all together than to go through all anxiety, waiting and all the trouble their support puts me through, to maybe not even getting proper support at the end.

In all honesty i would rather they are overcareful and generate more false positives, than for them to be more lenient and let more hacks slip through unchecked.

Would you rather your accounts be locked down if it was someone other than you accessing them, or have them sit wide open whilst some RMT strips you bare?

Given the massive mess that's surfaced over the past few days over security, which no doubt has had both ArenaNet and NCSoft running round like headless chickens, I'm not surprised it's taking a little while to get back to you. But they will get back to you, and you will get your accounts back, and if it is a false positive, then they'll be in the same state they were before, and all you've lost is a couple of days

No, I would rather to have my accounts mugged and banned for a reason than not.

was on vacation in china and tried to play guildwars, got the same error message "

"We have detected that your account may have been accessed by an unauthorized individual. For your security, further access to the account has been blocked until this matter can be resolved. To restore access to this account, please contact Support and one of our representatives will assist you." "

4 of my 6 accounts were blocked. Played gw for 5 years, never violated any rules to get any warning/suspension. after a week, having escalated the problem to the lead account support person, they want me to give them all my access keys before she would reply to my e-mails. I throwed my keys out of the window along with all the useless boxes I don't need, only kept only one box/key for the shelf. obviously they didn't reply, never even gave me a reason why they were deemed "suspicious" in the first place. No number to call either. I spent no less than 500 for those 4 accounts and countless hours. plaync won't see my money for gw 2 or any games deals with them.
