Very slow downloads
I have just gotten back into guild wars and have been trying to download the game. Every time I try to download with -image or when downloading files at the loading screen it downloads at 3 - 4kb/s, however low ping in the game. Also my internet runs fine for everything other than guild wars. This makes the game pretty much unplayable because most places I cannot load. Any suggestions?

It could be traffic shaping which some ISPs do to limit download bandwidth due to P2P downloaders (see http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/v...tml?t=10448459 for info on lag/traffic shaping). Just an fyi if you don't know the GW.DLL will be over 3 GBs if you use the -image after freshly installing Guild Wars.

Gw.dat like above said is over 3gig ( avg 4 gig ) and downloading this does take a long time - anywhere from 1 - 3 hrs and regardless of your internet speed you wont really get a big speed like 40 - 50k but what i call a trickle.This may be how the client is designed to download ( if you have ever used ftp for downloading you may know what i mean ) .
