(Im really sorry if ive posted this in the Wrong section, Please move it if it was)
Hey well im currently looking for something to record guildwars with and start making videos but im having trouble finding something that actually works without lagging Ect.

Fraps- I Tried using fraps but it only lasts 30seconds which is kinda annoying if you have to keep pushing the record button. I know i could just simply do that and still have a video using editing software.

Hypercam- Well i have tried using hypercam and the Quality is rather nice but i cannot find the settings on Fps and such, Not only that but i lag Alot when playing Guildwars making almost impossible to record while speedclearing without dying.

Xfire- Ive tried xfire with some settings i was told by a friend but its abit choppy(Sorry if thats no help as description).

If anybody has any Idea on what i could do like Give me settings or a Software they use to record videos ingame on Guildwars then Please do post. Hints and suggestions are welcome!

I personally use Hypercam. It is a reliable software that is relatively easy to use.
The FPS settings are loacted in the Tab labled "AVI file". However, I find that increasing the FPS will increase the video speed (i.e. if 10 FPS is normal, going to 20 FPS will make your video run 2x faster).

Also, If you are using Hypercam with Windows7, there is a very strong chance that Windows will speed up your file. It even does this if the file is recorded on another computer and transfered to the Windows7 machine (such was the case today when I had to edit my video...recorded at home and moved to laptop so I could edit in my 4 hour break between classes).
You will have to use an editing software that lets you slow down the video by a certain percent, as it does not do exactly double speed (I found on my machine it gets sped up by roughly 43%)

I use Xfire to record stuff. It's easy to use and quality is nice. If you go to the options menu and in the video tab you can set how many fps you want to record. 30fps is usually fine for me, but if you think its to choppy, turn it up a bit.

If that doesn't work, you could try Gamecam. The free version is ok-ish so i've heard, but there's this big GAMECAM logo in your video. I never used it though

Well at what RedDog91 said ive tried changing the FPS speed from something like 5-30fps and the Playback between 5-15(From what i heard it slows the video down).
I Know about slowing down with the Video editing software But its not only that but i lag abit badly when trying to record. Even on my brother new laptop with high graphics quality it still tends to lag(More a less lag spikes every 2 seconds)

I Had messed with the Xfire options and tbh it wasnt too bad but i had a problem getting the Fps up higher then 30 it just kept freezing and for what reason i dont know. I Used the Same requirements as my friend does when he records but mine turns out nothing like his.

As far as lag, you will experience it on most laptops while recording (most laptops just can't handle the recording AND the game at the same time). Using a desktop is what i would recommend.
Also, on the "Screen Area" tab, if you have the new version of Hypercam, there is a line with a check-box that says "Capture layered/transparent windows (may slow down performance". Uncheck that box, as you won't need to record any layers except the game.
