Are the two issues that I am having "normal"?

Quote:
The two issues that I am experiencing:
1. I thought it would launch all three sessions with one double click?
2. Also, the windowed gw's sessions don't "remember" their location.

1. Master shortcut was designed to launch successive single instances. A launch all instance shortcut is a possibility. It just has not been implemented. Easiest way to launch all may be to select all the instances inside the launcher and hit launch.

2. Not exactly sure how window location is saved by gw. It may vary depending on version of windows. From my experiences, each instance does remember their respective locations. Not sure there is anything extra that can be done on gwml's side to aid with this.

I have been using gwml since posting that above quote with (0) problems, i love how you can add your auto login details to each short cut and use it with ease.

All in all a great tool to have if you have multiple accounts and perfect for running yourself over the wall in pre searing

Make sure you have .NET Framework 2.0 or higher installed. You should get a error message right away if you don't have the framework installed.

Other than that, if it is not starting... you may have bigger system issues. Possibly malware interfering.

I did have the issue in the beginning as Crawford Team Captain has and once i installed .net 2 it worked fine and windows do remeber what position.
I have used this for a long time now and never had issues with running 5 account's
well 4 now since one was hacked last week still waiting for support to get back to me.
No it wasn't anything to do with this program.
Much better than the other GW 2x program IMO.

You can use the -character switch in the created shortcuts by giving three quotation characters around the character name (don't ask why).

This is an example string for the "Target" field of the shortcut:

"D:\Programme\GUILD WARS\GWMultiLaunch.exe" "D:\Programme\GUILD WARS\Gw.exe" "-perf -windowed -email [email protected] -character """My Character Name""" -password MyPassw0rd"

Please be careful with hardcoding the character name: if your machine crashes during gameplay and you reboot and restart Guild Wars, a reconnect is only available if the character from the security question is the same as the character you were online when the connection was severed. So you have to change the -character parameter to the name you are currently on before trying a reconnect.

Great program, thanks! Works both on Vista-32bit and Windows XP. With Dual-Core processor there is no much impact on fps when playing on lower graphic options.

Guys I've been having a pretty irritating issue.
When I set up Gwx2 with all my accounts I can load them all just fine. But then the second there is an in game update of any size, all the copies except for the first two 'break'. Whenever I try to load them I get an error that says 'Guild wars has encountered a fatal error' and I have to complete uninstall then reinstall those copies, which takes freaking ages.

Anyone have any ideas of the cause?

Because gwx2 is a P.O.S that we all used because there was no alternative. That's why this thread is entitled "Introducing Guild Wars Multi-Launch"

Using gwx2 does irritating things to gw.dat that necessitates downloading a "fresh" one in order to make any multi-launcher work.

Use GWML - it's infinitely better.

Is it legal to use this tool? Any rumors about possible ban for using it?

Your questions have been answered in this thread. Yes, it is legal. I don't know of any law that this software violates. It's also allowed by NCSoft and ANet at this time, but support will do nothing to help you if you use it.

No. Anet bans on "third party programs" when they see your account doing things in a similar fashion over and over. You can use third party programs that don't bot and you'll never get banned. AFAIK Anet doesn't have a punkbuster tool like Call of Duty uses.

Sorry, I meant to say GWML in my post above yours. I said Gwx2 in error. The issue I have described is happening with GWML.

Does it not happen to anyone else? Its a real frustration..

Is it possible to add the following to GWML, The ability to have infinite amount of shortcuts? I opened the .ini hoping to add them but it only works if i have a folder copied. and with so many guild wars i did not want lot's of hard drive space taken up.

Code:
copy0=C:\Program Files (x86)\Guild Wars\Gw.exe|-windowed
copy1=C:\Program Files (x86)\Guild Wars 002\Gw.exe|-windowed
copy2=C:\Program Files (x86)\Guild Wars 003\Gw.exe|-windowed
copy3=C:\Program Files (x86)\Guild Wars 004\Gw.exe|-windowed
copy4=C:\Program Files (x86)\Guild Wars\Gw.exe|-windowed
copy5=C:\Program Files (x86)\Guild Wars 002\Gw.exe|-windowed
copy6=C:\Program Files (x86)\Guild Wars 003\Gw.exe|-windowed
copy7=C:\Program Files (x86)\Guild Wars 004\Gw.exe|-windowed
The reason i ask is because it would be a bonus to be able to have everything inside the program for convenience, I could then have the -image command x4 on the first 4 shortcuts and then my normal login's on the other 4 and possibly another 4 for with different login switches or different characters loading up on start and so on. I hope that makes sense...

"EDIT"
Or does it have to be done with multiple shortcuts? I didn't want all the extra clutter i actually have a folder just for all the guild wars shortcuts i have accumulated!

Late_Night_Limbo:
Try right click gwml and run as admin.

Bill Clinton:
Haven't heard of that fatal error issue before. Gwml's only influence on the gw update system is updating the location of the current gw install before starting gw. Try only updating one copy at a time?

T1Cybernetic:
Can you clarify?
Do you mean to add possibility of having same gw paths with different launch arguments in the launch list?
Is this mainly to cut down on shortcuts count and have more items in the list?
