Default TexMod Issues

I'm trying to install TexMod on my computer and have followed the various links posted through Wiki and I'm getting the same results from all of them. The download goes smoothly, and the zipped files show up however after I have extracted the files the only item in the TexMod file is the Readme file. There is no application to be found, no icon, nothing. I have my anti-virus program disabled for the time being, but I can't think of anything else to try.

Are you by any chance using AVG? The last time I tried to install texmod, I had the same issue even though AVG was 'disabled'. I ended up uninstalling AVG, and then I was able to extract the file, and reinstalled AVG after. Texmod has been working fine since then. Hope that helped

Or you could use the much simpler solution to open the AVG interface, Tools > Advanced Settings > Resident Shield > Excluded Items > add Texmod > OK > done

It might be a good idea to try what Bytor said first. I totally forgot to mention it because it didn't work when I did it. But maybe it will work for you!
