Same here - it's fine, and then suddenly spikes to 20 seconds+. Been getting it for 2 days now.

Turns out this is a VirginMedia problem.
http://community.virginmedia.com/t5/Gaming/bd-p/Gaming WoW and Aion players are lagging too and a techy on the VM website said it'll take a few weeks to fix. It's only affecting me in the evenings for some reason. Edit: Someone on a WoW forum suggest the following command (paste it in to "Run") and it's worked for me too. Code:
