As a general rule dial up is actually better for MMOs than satellite. The Ping (1231ms) is BAD news for you. Ideally you want the PING to be under 150ms and anything over 500ms would be considered unplayable by most people. Satellite is faster for downloads and general surfing, but for MMOs where you are constantly sending data back and forth in 2 directions the end result is about 4-5x slower.

I had AT&T DSL for years and it was good. This was in Phoenix. Really had no complaints and only switched to cable when I wanted to get rid of the home phone and they didn't offer it without phone service.

at&t would be much better then hughes net. I've actually spoken with a rep from hughes net when my only option was cricket and hughes net actually told me that gaming and their internet wouldn't be a good combo. Go with At&t. I did a test between at&t and cable internet, my pages loaded faster with the dsl then with the cable. So i canceled the cable and kept the dsl.

No, there is no limit like that. You can play all day and be fine.
