I don't know what the "problem" is caused by, but it's really annoying.

Recently, I started getting lag. I have switched from Virgin Media to BT in the same timeline, but I'm not sure if it's that, as my Brother gets no lag.
When I enter a town, say Kamadan, I get extreme lag for up to 20 seconds, before my ping goes back to a steady 200ms. This lag also occurs when I kill Vaettirs on my assassin, or do anything else involving "Lots of monsters".

It is seriously annoying, because it limits farming, and wastes a lot of time when entering towns.

I have a Graphics Card seperate from the Motherboard, if that matters.

I have a AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core processor and 3gb RAM.

This problem is REALLY annoying me, and something has changed that is causing it, as I never had this problem before, and have farmed Vaettirs many-a-time before this "thing" happened. HELP!

im in the same situation as you and many other people.
this lag was mostly started by the change from 7heros update and going on since then. there are alot of theads about this.

anet really has been turning a blind eye to this and as far as i know no solution has been brought up.

I should make a sticky that just says "pathping pathping pathping."

We do not have enough data to tell what the source of the problem is.

I get the exact same problem. In addition if I stop moving for about 45 seconds I get the 007 error. My connection outside of GW is fine. I'm online on messengers, no problems with browsing on the Internet.
