Hi, i recently started the guild wars trial yesterday, but i've hit a road block.

When i go into the game i can walk normally for around 5 seconds, then my character starts to lag and jump around.

After about a minute of this my character doing this, I suddenly become grounded on one spot, and unable to move.

I can turn around, and everything around me seems to be moving perfectly fine, but whenever i try to move or interact with anything, i don't get any response.

Eventually after 5 minutes of this the server lags out and i get disconnected.

I have a pretty powerful machine and ill give details if needed, but i will mention i am using windows 7 64bit, and from past experience with other games i think this may be part of the problem.

When I have this sort of things, it's mostly due to my bad internet connection, so I think you should check that. I don't know about the windows tho, I'm on 32 bit.

You're being disconnected.

The problem is with the internet, not your computer, so no amount of awesome hardware on your end is going to have any impact. First suspect is your ISP. Second suspect is some intermediate node between you and the game servers.

If you post a pathping, we can decipher it for you. In my opinion, you should blank out the first 3 (sometimes 4) IP addresses because we don't need them, and publishing them presents a small security risk.
