Default Headset and Mouse and AC internet thing?

So first things first, I *think* this is the right place to post a query such as this, if not, apologies in advance.

Now then I am in the market to buy a new headset/pair of headphones, as well as a new mouse. The current headset I currently have works, but its cheap because I needed something RIGHT NOW, and I would like something a bit (read a lot more) nicer. The mouse I have has been a real trooper, but its either dieing or I've broken it (more likely) My question isnt so much a question as it is me asking for a recommendation. I have a couple of parameters that I will lay out shortly, but I would like to know if there are any particular brands/models that you all think would be worth looking at.

My budget is to TRY to keep both items under 100 bucks each, but if spending 120 gets me something immensely better, I'll do it.

First things first, the mouse MUST be replaced. It works, for now, but for how much longer? I have no idea. Therefore this is probably more important. Currently I have this mouse...http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16826104366 Its been a real trooper, but the constant destruction I have visited upon it is finally showing after 2 years. Ideally I would like to replace it with something a bit nicer and maybe a few more buttons (the nicer [more expensive] bit so I think twice before smashing it) I've looked at a few different mice online so far but cant really decide. On Newegg the highest rated mice are by far the Logitechs. HOWEVER, these mice also look like someone went "Hey look a pile of shit, lets put buttons on it har de har har" What I'm getting at is that they are ugly as sin, and dont particularly appeal to me. I have looked at the Razer brand mice, and they look much better, but arent reviewed quite as well. Are any of these worth considering? Another brand I have looked at are the SteelSeries brand mice. Dont know much about them, and havent seen a ton of reviews, but they look solid I think?

The second thing here is a headset. Currently I have this...Ok I have no idea what it is. I'm pretty sure I paid like 10 bucks for it out of the cordless phone section of the store because I needed a mic. Anyways, as it is I have another mic, but its independent of any headset, so I generally still use this cheap one as its an all-in-one unit. It works (surprisingly well) but I would like something better. Again I have looked at the razer and SteelSeries things. The Razer Orca seems like its a pretty decent set of Headphones, but it doesnt have a mic? (I think) The SteelSeries are the same as the mice, they look good, but does anyone have any personal reviews? Please be aware that the headset does not HAVE to have a mic built in, I have a separate one. My ideal headset would be a pair of Bose over-ear headphones, but I'm not sure I want to fork over the money for them. They sure do sound nice though.

Anyways, if I could get some input from anyone that be greatly appreciated. Saying whats good and whats bad on a particular thing would be immensely helpful. Thanks much in advance

EDIT: So I figured I may as well ask about this while I have a thread open. I went to go buy a new wireless router, when the guy at the store tells me about this system that allows you to run internet through the AC electrical lines in your house? A couple of adapters and you have wired internet anywhere without the hassle of running ethernet cords through the walls. As far as I can tell it was something like this...http://www.crutchfield.com/S-yfMvFa0...0-Adapter.html Was just curious as to if this actually works and would it be better than just getting a good router? (Ignore cost for the purpose of this hypothetical)

As far as your edited part goes, I recently put those in my house and they work pretty good. The ones my family got still costed around 100 dollars or so and we used it to get good wireless in an addition to my house, so the signal originally had to travel through stucco walls. Depending on the layout of your house, it may or may not be a better option.

Mouse - Logitech MX518(?) or G500

Headset - I'm currently using a Logitech Clearchat model (not USB). It's light and comfortable and has good sound. (Not super-duper hi-fi, but good enough).

Wireless - I'd only recommend the AC system if your residence is too big or has too much interference for regular Wi-Fi to work. If I recall, speed is one problem with the AC systems (But that could change.) I'd also recommend to use regular wired connections on any stationary computers - if possible - and use wireless for portables like laptops.

So in regards to the AC thing, it sounds like it works, but not as well as a regular router? Thats kind of what I thought but asking never hurt right?

As for the mice, it is very unfortunate that those Logitechs are probably like the best thing on the market. Apparently they work well and are highly recommended, maybe I will just have to get over the fact that they look as badly as they do. Do they make paper bags that can fit over a mouse so I dont have to look at it?

Sod the expense. Run some nice cat6 through your entire building. You can add the streamed 1080p at a later date
