Default rubberbanding

seemingly randomly i get intermittent rubberbanding that is really really bad. my ping is always fine, always under 200.

what happens is i can still use all my skills but every npc or player on the screen just randomly teleports around the screen or stops moving all together.

anyone else have this?

It happens quite often if you minimise the game, or alt+tab through windows when playing GW in windowed mode. It usually fixes itself after a few minutes and/or rezonings.
It's best to play full-screen and don't minimise the game. Or just ignore the rubberbanding for a few minutes.

If you haven't done so, you might need to elaborate on your hardware and recent software.

Always happens to me when dealing with a big group of enemies, if it's obvious you're stuck but are able to move it's clear that you're actually still standing in the group of enemies even though it may not rubber band you back for quite a few seconds. You can usually tell if you are still taking damage. I am constantly tabbing out for music and what not so the above post actually helps me understand why the hell this happens so often... I also have perfect ping most the time. I can't see how hardware would effect rubber banding as it's lag afaik.

I can only suggest that you watch where you walk, it always happens when you are blocked by something like an NPC or an object. Try going around things instead of letting your character collide with it.

/stuck can be rather beneficial in this regard, helps get you back to where you currently are on the server as opposed to where you are showing on your screen. Has affected me since I started playing those many years ago, and still does, its just something you get used to, I guess.

Always happens to me when I go AFK for a long extended amount of time or minimize the game and get distracted when viewing another web page.

I just re-zone or wait five minutes and that usually does it.

Playing windowed or minimizing cause rubberbanding even with perfect ping?

Omg. This explains so much of my problems.
