I ran with those limitations for years and left it set to System Manage Size. GW is not a memory sucking pig. Seems to use maybe .6 or .7 gig most of the time. However, this may vary depending on the type of video. What card do you have?

Well if its any help i run Win xp
( 2.1ghz, 750 ram and a 40gb hdd with 4GB free space oh and low spec graphics card 64mb i think)

Game seems to run fine obviously its not smooth 100% of the time, but with the right in-game graphics setting it works dandy .

To answer your question "System Manage Size" works fine for me.

The first PC I played GW on was an HP with an AMD Athlon 3200 XP 2.20 GHz (512k cache), 512 MB (later upgraded to 1 GB) of ram, a 256 MB crappy ass nVidia card that could actually max the game out and I ran it on a 15" LCD at 1024x768.

Your screen resolution will also have a TON to do with performance and usage of resources on top of texture settings..obviously the higher the screen res, the more pixels are going to need to be rendered.

With 2 GB of RAM you should be fine but do post your CPU and GPU and we can make a better judgement.

Page file? Set it to 1.5x your installed RAM if Windows is not already managing it to approximately that size and you're good to go.

Since 'virtual memory' is actually hard drive space, it doesn't matter what it's set to - you really don't want the system to be swapping things to and from the hard drive during GW. 'Virtual memory' is more applicable to running multiple apps at once when you don't have the RAM to hold them all. As long as you don't have a whole bunch of apps running at the same time as GW you should be fine.
