could someone please tell me how to fix this

i had the dc from friends server before too, but was able to relog without having the 242 error code.
my internet works perfectly fine as i can still play etc

please help

Im having the same exact problem, if theres any IT ANET guys out there please help! People cant whisper back to me making it rather difficult to trade!

I have the same problem and it started around the last update.

The flist used to drop out all the time anyway - it still does, and occasionally crashes the game if I try to log in, or a 242 error.

I still DC but at least can now log back on through the friends window connect button. Not getting disconnected would be an actual fix.

It is something already, now atleast dont have to restart the game

edit: LOL, i still get the 242 error on my computer, but not on my laptop, fml ...

unplayable again now losing internet connections, lagging, trying to reconnect and hard crash right to log in screen. Telling me the usual 'check your internet connection'.
