Because taking apart a computer and setting compressed air to it is the same as deleting programs.

He means to clean it out physically, not the software side. From what you said, I assume you have a laptop, which is going to make it a little more difficult.

*NOTE* Do not do any of the following if you have no idea what you are doing with a laptop's internals or if care about possibly voiding your warranty since there can be issues with removing components and not being able to reinstall them correctly. *NOTE*

However, if you know what you are doing already with removing a couple casing pieces then go ahead and do that, then use a dust remover (I prefer spray type) to clean it out... don't wipe it out with your hands since that can cause electrical problems and can actually move/brake/damage in some way a component or clip.

If you haven't ever taken some of the covers off of your laptop, search around the support pages for your laptop, if you can't find it from your manufacturer then try googling your laptop's model# for disassembling instructions. Use these to find out what to remove in what order and how.

Be sure that you know how you take stuff off and which order you took it off in... you need to put it back in the exact opposite way of course or else it may not go back perfectly.

I would also make sure to run a good anti-spyware/malware program along with a complete anti-virus scan... You didn't mention that you had done this but I have had this fix horrible lag issues multiple times in the past (in fact I did that this past week in order to fix wireless disconnect issues on my home computer).

Have you thought about your modem?

Have you thought to contact your ISP? and have them run some line tests?
See if you are actually getting the speeds that you are supposed to be getting. My dsl was fine for a month, then starting going nuts. So far, its been the modem.

The only place i'm lagging is Raptors. The lag at raptors is so bad that you can't even farm them.

However, snow arena is no-lag.

FPS (Frames Per Second) Has nothing to do with the servers, your FPS depends on how powerful your system is to render GW and the graphics that are in GW.

Lagging or Rubberbanding is always a connection issue, could be their servers getting packed.

No decorations. Just snowball arena and drops.

The lag was horrible around the rata sum area. I was doing quests down in that area, trying to run myself to Tarnished Haven. It is pretty much impossible to do it, the constant lag rubber banded me all over the place.

I have been getting lag all week. The kind that snaps you back to somewhere you haven't been for about 8 seconds? The kind that has your health bar dropping but there is nothing touching you and BAM!! your in the middle of the pack of baddies you past about 10 seconds ago? Yeah I have that kind; a lot of that kind.

It is odd because I haven't had bad lag since about mid 2006.

Yeah the lag around Rata Sum was insane....even in foreign and international districts. It seems to have tapered off now, to the point where it's actually possible to farm them :P

Actually no it's the opposite of that, your fps can effect your connection to a server.
