Lags really bad right now in FA. No point for me to even attempt to play it. Although I'm unwilling to give up so easily when I need 9 freaking wins to pass the zq.

Although it is fun when I do get to move/type/smashfaceonkeyboard.

I play from Iraq while I'm here and obviously the US the rest of the time. Usually during certain times of day I can get away with solo'ing aroundd and managing a 5-700 ping just fine.

Now...during the deadest of dead hours while everyone is at work or even around 3-4 in the AM when I could usually get the best ping....I'm jumping from 900's up to the 6,000+ area with the occasional 5 digit spike.

I would say that I guess I'm gonna just stack up zkeys with XTH predictions for the rest of my tour but even that isn't looking like a possibility with the way things are going now.

GG.

Since tonight's update, we've been getting bad lag and DCs (people on vent with us, not puggy rage) in HA int. Hearing reports from people in American Districts in PvE about it being especially bad too. Not unheard of bad, but bad none the less.

Yeah, bad lag recently. Mostly, the past couple of weeks.

Lots of spikes and terrible lag. Constant DC's is common, too. Today's patch didn't help, either.

It's been progressively worse within the last 2 weeks for me. Trying to farm Norn points for my armor has been getting frustrating lately. I'm in Drakkar Lake with my Rit clearing it out and within that time I experienced 6 lag spikes and 3 disconnect and reconnect, all within a 2 hour period.

What the hell is going on Anet? I think a portion of the 40 bucks I forked over for the storage increase should be put into some new hardware and more bandwidth on your servers.

If these lag spikes and disconnects continue my recent purchase will be the last of my hard earned cash in your pocket.

Terrible lag for me with err7 disconnects galore today. Changing servers doesn't help. Here's the weird thing.....I cannot ping or traceroute to the PlayNC servers. I can do so just fine to other Internet sites, but all pings to the server identified in my game client fail, and traces die after about 6 hops out on the net. DNS issue?? Or am i missing some other possibilities?

It seems the ping times are degrading over the past 2-3 weeks, and you get occasional lag spikes.

Veeery bad if you are on a PB Mesmer during GvG

Default Lag spikes take on a whole new meaning

First off, mods can move this where it's needed, I couldn't decide.

So, I was running a group, and after some time, we made it to the second zone, and I spiked, and my entire party left, reply, "what happend". So, I took a screenshot. I made it so you cannot see any of my personal specs, I'm just mean like that lol. As you can see, the group but ME is grayed out, and the chat log emplies the 5 others left the team, because of a d/c issue. I have no idea why it happend. My internet was working fine before, but it just.....kicked them, in mid-run. Here's the pic:

Where was you running?

And yeah that is crazy. Lol, one time I was farming UW and I was running from the aatxe, got lag spike, then shortly after that, dead.

Maybe it was just something like this:

Ele: Guys... He's not moving, think he went AFK?
Ranger: He better not have or I'm not paying him for this run.
Monk: Maybe he's just lagging, give him a minute or two.
Sin: Forget that! He took long enough just to get this far, I'm out.
Sin has left the game.
Ranger has left the game.
Ele has left the game.
Monk has left the game.

Or maybe I saw them all leave without any chatlog before it, as soon as we zone, and get bewildered comments from everyone before?

If a guy gets disconnected than there's a message that says so, same goes for leaving. They didn't get disconnected, they ditched you.

Default What is with ping fluctuating between 125 and 391?

This is getting rather annoying.

I'll have 125 ping and be playing fine, and then all of a sudden I start missing interrupts and I find out that my ping has just gone up to 391 (that's the highest it's gone to). It then stays there for maybe 20 seconds to a minute before coming back down. Wtf is up with this?

I have 80 and 6112 open and nothing else running. I don't know what exactly is causing this problem.

welcome to guildwars, where the ping gem only updates once every 30 seconds or so, which almost makes it completely useless.

with that said, the ping fluctuations are more or less normal now. i have the same thing, except mine jumps between 92 and 20000.

if 391 is the highest your ping has gone then you are better of than most and have nothing to complain about... it's still plenty playable for you at least...

Ping has always fluctuated with GW, anyone who says otherwise is lying or ignorant!

I live in NZ so my internet isn't the fastest. my average ping is 400-500 so 391 being the highest seems very appealing to me . Anyways it seems to have been like this since the update, I have been in a few RA/TA games where both sides have lagged up, even had one where all 7 other players DCd except me.

Also been having some other weird stuff happening with lag that has never happened with me before random massive spikes, spells going off before the animation (this one is really off-putting) never had anything like this happen before the update, so I would assume that you are not an isolated case.

P.S most of my friend's list has been having issues with random lag since the update as well.

Thumbs up ugh

Hi guys, I wasn't really sure where to put this thread, but I really need some help. I have tried almost everything to get rid of lag.

Got Game booster (turns off all unused processes)
Defragmented (With Power Defragmenter and Contig)
My RAM is 3 gigabites
My graphics card is great (I forgot where to find the actual name of it, but I know thats not the problem)
If it helps my processor is AMD Turion (tm) 64 X2 TL-60 2.00 Ghz
I've lowered my graphics settings
Cleaned out useless programs on my laptop (got rid of about 10 gigabites)

I have DSL and if thats the problem thats not really good because I can't change that I dont think thats the problem though, but maybe I'm wrong. Oh and it's not just Guild Wars, its Combat Arms and 9Dragons and a ton of other games. Can anyone help?

Oh and if it helps, I ran it this morning and it worked fine for 10 minutes, but after that it lagged again.
