ok, i don't have a machine on hand to test this myself, so you're gonna be the guinea pig.

with the three files inside your GW folder, open config_DX.ini in notepad. once you've done that, find the lines ForceSoftwareTnL=0 and Forcezb=0, and change the zeros to 1's.

this might make no difference at all (since i can't test it), or it might make your game look very ugly. of course, if we're lucky, this will allow you to play with no hit to picture quality. make sure to set the shader quality in game to "low".

This is cool, thanks moriz. Now my 2nd comp can run GW well too.

Just a question, is modifying the dll or something allowed? Won't it cause any problems? ty.

don't ever touch the .dll file; only modify the .ini file.

glad i could help, though i really didn't "make" anything. i just cobbled together a bunch of fixes that are already in place, and made it less intrusive.

btw, i need a better place to host this thing. filefront will delete every upload after a month if there's "not enough downloads" for that file. judging by how it's going, it will get dropped soon unless i renew it every month, which is rather tedious.

so you load into the game, and there's no change in graphics?

the fix SHOULD work for you, since the G33/31 has the exact same graphic chip as the Q35.

where exactly did you copy the three files? you need to copy them into "C:\Program Files\Guild Wars", assuming that's where you installed GW. don't copy them into the Guild Wars folder in "C:\Users\(whatever your username is)", since that's not where GW is installed.

you are supposed to copy the files to the guild wars installation folder, not the icon. it's usually in C:\program files\guild wars.

also keep in mind: this IS basically 3danalyze, just with the user interface removed.

3danalyze doesn't affect internet connection in any way, so it has to be something else.

does your computer use intel GMA 3100 integrated graphics? if not, this fix won't work properly.
