A Gift for Althea Bug - Guild Wars Forums

I have completed the "A Gift for Althea" quest, and for some reason the guy wont let me have my 250xp. When I talk to him, he says, well done etc, and then when i click accept nothing happens. I can keep on talking to him over and over again, the ! stays above his head, and I never get my reward. Whats going on?

Do you have an empty space in your inventory? It will not let you complete the quest if you do not have an empty space.

yes i have an empty slot.

Try doing this, if you have completed the quest, go back to town and then go back to him to accept your reward, if it still doesn't work use /bug and report a bug to the GW staff.

they said /bug was gone (unless they just put it back)

/bug was there two days ago when i had to submit a bug for a area that i could walk through walls

Is that after you brought 3 different things to him?? Cause if I remeber right I had to bring him 3 different things to complete it.

If so, then I suggest going into town like he said and coming back out. if that doesn't work then try quitting GW and logging back in (which you might have done in order to come here and post, i dunno)

/bug still works, I reported the Blood, Sweat, Tears pre-searing quest bug (or was the quest a joke on me?)

I had the same thing happen to me when I was in a party and I was the second person to try to turn in the quest. First person got their XP just fine. Nothing I could do would make him give me my XP. I turned it in using /bug. BTW is the /bug text portion to short (can't describe whole problem in any detail) for anyone else or is it just me?

Are you sure you didn't automatically get the XP when your party member completed the quest? I've noticed that this happens with some of the item quests. Also, if you're in a party, I think it's the former/leader of the party that gets to complete the quest, and everyone shares the XP. Try going back to town, re-form the group with the person who did not get to complete making the join request(s), then try to do it again.
