Default A couple questions...

My subscription for WoW has recently run out, and I've come to the conclusion that monthly fees... just aren't my "thing" , if you catch my drift.

Anyway, Guild Wars caught my eye. But before I get this, I'd like a little more info in a couple areas:

1. Customization : Could someone elaborate on the character customization options? Can you select skin colors, hair colors, eye colors etc? When you create a character, are you relatively unique compared to other characters? And lastly, what about races... are there different races, or is everyone a human?

2. Instancing : Okay, if a majority of the quests are instanced, how do you handle any sort of social interaction? If you do something in your "instance", how will that translate if someone parties with you and they have done something different in a previous instance? Could someone explain the whole instancing system? What are the pros and cons here?

3. Guilds : What is the difference between a Guild and a Party? Are there benefits to being in a guild (Guild House or special tabards/insignias) and what kind of emphasis is there on Guilds? Is this going to be a game where I have to join a Guild to get anywhere?

That's about it. Apologies in advance is this was already asked/answered somewhere else.

1: You can change your face, hair, hair color and skin color. You can also dye your armor.

2: In a instanced zone, you can't see other players outside of your party, but that also means mobs don't respawn without you leaving. The cities are places where you can go and find a group, and sell stuff.

3: A guild is the same thing as a guild in WoW. The leader can buy a guild cape for everyone for 2k gold. You can also get a guild hall late in the game. You do not have to be in a guild to get the same enjoyment.

1. You can custamize hair/skin colour, stature, hair styles, etc. but everybodies Human.
2. You interact in the towns, but as soon as you go outside you load the instance fresh with all of the creatures and items, and if you have a quest, all off the creatures for that quest will appear as well regardless of whether or not other people in you party have done them.
3.Parties are just small teams of 4-8 that you can join up with in towns before you go questing or on missions, Guilds are simular to Clans, and you get a cool cape that the Guild leader gets to design.
